LUCKY

LUCKY I looked out the window in time to see the pink marshmallow clouds
before they were completely gone.

Next morning I was LUCKY again to see this sword-like cloud in the same place.

FAVORITE THING TO DO ON SUNDAYS

It's about the only day I am able, time-wise or ability to fall asleep-wise,
to take a nice hour long nap.
(For some reason this didn't get published back in May of 2013 when I drafted it)

SHOES

Relaxin' in my BeeZees after a day of cleaning in them at my son's rental house. I love my BeeZees - both pairs of them. They're stretchy, lightweight, quiet, washable, and flexible! They embrace my foot firmly, yet I can hardly tell I have them on. I won't hesitate to buy the 2016 model when they come out in the spring!

LANDSCAPE

Limited LANDSCAPE visibility this morning from my window. Later it wasn't much better - I promise Mt. Olympus is in the background of both views!

READING

Today at the dentist's office I was READING a National Geographic magazine while waiting for the Novocaine to take effect. I came across the perfect illustration for my situation! I think the camel is a candidate for braces. Or at least some tartar control toothpaste!

SOMETHING BLUE

I have loved the little planner that I have used the last 2 years as a journal. Just a nice little space to write what I did that day. This year, though, I want to sprout my creativity so I bought a blank book and designed my own title page. I intend to write more about how I feel about things instead of reporting what I did, as well as try some art in its pages when I feel inspired. I'm already critiquing that first page - too busy, no focal point, etc. But I've got the whole rest of the book to improve! You have to start where you are, right?

LEAVES

Daughter Allison creates designs from LEAVES she collects and presses. One is a daisy made from tiny Honey Locust Leaves. The other represents our family - Dad & Mom and nine kids. I love her creativity and the family one is particularly meaningful to me.
