MORNING

June 1

I went out early this morning to take a friend to work.
When I got back I looked for a 'morning' shot and
found this at my apartments:

* * * * * * * * * * * * * *

A few years ago I took some photos of the sunstripes on my bedroom walls on summer mornings. I was fascinated by them moving across the wall. They even inspired me to write this whimsical poem. I was freshly divorced after 38 years of marriage, and needed to learn to become the master of my own fate, the Queen of my Todays.

The Sun Stripes appear
each morning to appoint her
Queen of Today.

Sometimes rain makes them
forget to come.

Then she imagines her annointing
and says to her subjects,
'CARRY ON'
